Well to start with Lionsgate didn't write either did they? lol And FFS some people need to get a life lol So the movies had some similarities and lionsgate was invovled in both, doesn't mean they ripped them off that's just ridiculous lol

Lionsgate didn't actually have anything to do with Den as far as I can tell. And those are some odd similarities. Den was a totally independent film that I don't think even came out in theatres. But what's odd is that as far as I can tell, it's an Australian film, and it came out in 2001. I can't help but wonder if there might be at least a little merit to this article.
But seeing as the lawsuit never caught medial wind I guess it couldn't have been all that. I'm kinda curious to see this 'Den' now just to see how similar it really is to Saw.
